A leading global financial services organisation is looking to appoint a Product Owner to take responsibility for regulatory change across a large-scale investment servicing platform.
The successful candidate will monitor and interpret regulatory developments, assess their impact on the existing product and oversee the delivery of any changes required to remain compliant.
This is a detailed, analytical role that would suit someone with experience across Regulatory Change, Business Analysis, Product Ownership or financial services transformation.
The roleWorking closely with Compliance, Operations, Technology and Product colleagues, you will own regulatory changes from initial assessment through to implementation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring regulatory developments that may affect the organisation’s products and services
- Interpreting new rules, guidance and regulatory requirements
- Assessing the potential impact of regulatory change on the existing platform
- Translating regulatory requirements into clear product and business changes
- Defining user stories, acceptance criteria and functional requirements
- Owning and prioritising the regulatory change backlog
- Working with Compliance to validate proposed solutions
- Partnering with Technology teams to oversee development and implementation
- Supporting Operations with the introduction of new processes and controls
- Managing regulatory changes through the full product delivery lifecycle
- Identifying risks, dependencies and potential gaps in proposed solutions
- Maintaining clear documentation and stakeholder updates
- Supporting occasional client discussions relating to regulatory developments
- Recommending improvements to existing regulatory change processes

You should be able to demonstrate:
- Experience delivering regulatory or compliance-led change within financial services
- The ability to interpret complex regulations and identify business impacts
- Experience translating regulatory requirements into practical system or process changes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with Compliance, Operations and Technology teams
- Knowledge of Agile delivery methods
- Experience managing requirements, backlogs or user stories
- Strong written documentation skills
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple regulatory priorities
Direct Transfer Agency experience is not required. The organisation is primarily interested in candidates who understand regulated financial services environments and can demonstrate successful delivery of regulatory change.
