Interim Financial Accountant - #2115881

Manchester | 3-Month Fixed-Term Contract | £60,000 | On-site

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a well-established business in Manchester as they look to recruit an experienced Financial Accountant to join the finance team on a 3-month fixed-term contract.

This is an immediate requirement for an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant who can hit the ground running and provide additional support during a particularly busy period. With year-end approaching, you'll play a key role in ensuring the finance function continues to operate smoothly, supporting both month-end and year-end activities.

This is a fully office-based role, five days a week in Manchester.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of accurate and timely month-end close processes.
• Assist with year-end reporting and statutory accounting requirements.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support financial reporting and analysis for senior stakeholders.
• Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor queries.
• Help maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Provide additional support across the wider finance team as required.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

• ACA or ACCA qualification.
• Previous experience working as a Financial Accountant within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience supporting year-end processes.
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Availability to start at short notice or immediately.
