Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - EYFS & Key Stage 1


Location: Moorside, Oldham

Start Date: September

Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only

Salary: HLTA Pay Scale (dependent on experience)


Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in Moorside, Oldham, from September.


This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate education professional who enjoys working with younger children and is committed to supporting pupils' learning, development and wellbeing across EYFS and Key Stage 1.


The Role


As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning throughout the school. Your responsibilities will include:


Delivering high-quality lessons and learning activities across EYFS and KS1.

Providing classroom cover and supporting pupils in the absence of the class teacher.

Working closely with teachers to plan and deliver engaging learning experiences.

Supporting children's academic, social and emotional development.

Leading small group interventions to help pupils make progress.

Encouraging positive behaviour and creating a nurturing learning environment.

Building strong relationships with pupils, staff and families.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, HLTA or in a similar primary education role.

Experience supporting children within EYFS and Key Stage 1.

Confidence delivering lessons and managing a classroom environment.

Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and early years development.

A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
