National Business Development Manager (NBDM)

phs Besafe is looking for an ambitious and commercially focused National BusinessDevelopment Manager to lead new business growth across key sectors including Rail,Transport, Utilities, Automotive, Petrochemical, Aggregates, and Emergency Services.

This is a true hunter role, focused on securing high-value contracts worth £50,000+ per annum. You'll build relationships with senior decision-makers, develop tailored PPE and workwear solutions, and convert opportunities into long-term, profitable partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and secure new national accounts and major contracts.
• Build and manage a strong pipeline through prospecting, networking, and market mapping.
• Present Besafe's technical workwear, PPE, and garment laundering solutions to prospective customers.
• Support tender submissions and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Ensure all opportunities, quotes, and customer activity are accurately maintained in Salesforce.
• Work closely with Operations, Depot Managers, Customer Support, and Warehouse teams to ensure contracts are operationally deliverable.
• Manage smooth contract onboarding, including SLAs, documentation, and customer handovers.
• Provide accurate sales forecasting, pipeline reporting, and market intelligence.

About You
You will have:

• A proven track record in new business development, major account acquisition, or strategic sales.
• Strong technical knowledge of workwear, PPE, garment standards, and compliance requirements.
• A solid understanding of industrial laundry services and operational delivery.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and experience developing profitable proposals.
• Experience using Salesforce or CRM systems.
• A full UK driving licence.
