As a senior leader within IT Audit you'll work in close partnership with the Head of IT Internal Audit and act as a deputy where required, representing the function, providing leadership across the team, and supporting decision-making at a global level.

Description
The Senior IT Audit Manager will be responsible for;
- Deputise for the Head of IT Internal Audit where required, including representing the function in key forums and supporting senior decision-making, as well as stepping in to lead the IT audit team when required.
- Lead, oversee and shape a portfolio of complex, high-profile assurance activities, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery and appropriate focus on the risks and outcomes that matter most to the business. This will include end-to-end Technology and Cyber Security audits in accordance with the Global Audit Methodology across the UK and to oversee their timely completion to ensure a 'straight line' delivery profile aligned to expected QA standards.
- Write, review and present clear, concise, evidence-based and influential audit reports, presentations and insights, tailoring the narrative to senior audiences and helping drive better decisions. Support preparation and reporting of papers to Group, Regulated Entities, and Market Unit Audit Committees as well as Risk Committees and Management forums.
- Build and sustain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, influencing constructively, navigating challenge effectively and strengthening the positioning of Internal Audit as a valued assurance partner for Technology functions across Group and Group Functions
- Anticipate emerging business, regulatory and technology risks, and communicate findings with strategic and commercial awareness.
- Think critically and drive continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance audit delivery, efficiency and the stakeholder experience.
- Follow up with audit management action plans to ensure timely mitigation of identified risk areas.
- Apply technical and specialist skills to continuously support and innovate in GIA
- Champion the use of data analytics, visualisation and AI-enabled tools across all audit stages to enhance insights, efficiency and assurance quality.
Profile
A successful Senior IT Audit Manager should have:
- A strong background in IT audit within the healthcare or technology industries.
- Professional qualifications such as CISA, CISSP, or equivalent.
- Comprehensive knowledge of IT systems, risk management, and compliance standards.
- Proven ability to manage complex audit projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills for engaging with stakeholders.
- Experience working in a structured, large organisation with a focus on technology.Strong technical skills with a proven track record of delivering high quality audits.
- Significant senior level IT / Information Security audit, or technology risk, experience in a regulated environment, including leading complex portfolios, operating with a high degree of autonomy and judgment, and consistently delivering through others as well as directly.
- Experience as a trusted business partner in a service-oriented audit function, building strong relationships, influencing stakeholders and constructively challenging at all levels of the organisation.
- Strong data analytics and digital skills, including the ability to use data, visualisation and emerging AI-enabled tools to generate meaningful insights and improve assurance.
- A governance, risk and control mindset, and an understanding how Internal Audit fits into our 3 Lines model
- In-depth knowledge of risk management, audit methods and techniques.
- Strong experience of leading teams, developing managers and overseeing delivery at portfolio level, either through formal line management or leadership across multiple audits and workstreams.
- Resilient and adaptable; focused on overcoming challenges with a reputation for delivering on commitments, holding yourself and others accountable for performance.
- Strong communication and influencing skills; confident presenting complex issues, insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear, credible and compelling way.
