What to expect
- Coordinating and managing large scale recordal projects on a worldwide basis, primarily relating to Assignment, Merger, Change of Name and Change of Address recordals, and often involving more than one recordal step and/or multiple parties
- Attending to recordal of Assignments, Mergers, Changes of Name and Changes of Address at the UKIPO, EUIPO and WIPO
- Liaising with local counsel all over the world to coordinate recordal projects and ensure correct requirements are met
- Collating and checking required documentation, drafting documents for signature by clients
- Arranging signature of documents by clients
- Coordinating the notarisation and legalisation of documents
- Processing and reporting official documents (recordal certificates, notifications)
- Ensuring meticulous record keeping
- Providing regular updates to fee earners/partners
- Billing, records database and other administration duties relating to the aforesaid
A bit about you
- Educated to A Level or equivalent
- At least 3 years prior experience co-ordinating global trade mark recordals work either gained in a law firm or patent/trade mark Agency
- Experience supporting large scale/complex trade mark portfolio acquisitions
- Experience supporting lawyers in resolving historical chain of title issues
- Experience using WebTMS database desirable
- Able to work without supervision and to be able to demonstrate initiative
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills and a good team player
- Able to demonstrate a genuine interest in the client’s business and be client-facing
- Completion of CITMA Introduction to Trade Mark Administration and Formalities Course (or a similar Course) desirable
