Description

As an Interim Financial Controller duties will include but are not limited to:

• Lead the organisation's finance function, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, management accounts and year-end processes.
• Prepare and monitor annual budgets, financial forecasts and cash flow to support effective financial planning and decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, funding requirements and audit standards, acting as the key contact for external and internal auditors.
• Produce accurate financial reports, management information and statutory returns, providing clear insight to senior stakeholders.
• Oversee procurement, grant funding and financial controls, ensuring value for money and robust governance across all financial activities.
• Manage and develop the finance team, providing leadership, performance management and support for continuous improvement.
• Maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including banking, insurance, software and service providers, while ensuring efficient day-to-day financial operations.

Profile

A successful Interim Financial Controller should have:

• Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
• Worked in an all-round senior Finance role previously and be confident with financial and management accounting
• Experience with financial compliance and audit procedures.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership abilities to manage and support a finance team.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools.

Job Offer

• Salary equivalent of between £66,000- £68,000 on a daily rate basis
• 6 month interim opportunity with opportunity for a longer term role
