Are you an experienced HR professional with a passion for Employee Relations and developing managers? Are you looking for a role where you can make a real impact while progressing towards a People Business Partner position?

We’re working with a leading organisation in the transport sector to recruit a People Advisor to join their People Operations team.

The Role

This is a dynamic and hands-on position where you’ll play a key role in supporting a designated business area, providing expert guidance across a wide range of Employee Relations and Industrial Relations matters. You’ll partner closely with managers to drive performance through people, while also contributing to wider People initiatives.

This role offers clear development opportunities and is ideal for someone looking to step into a future People Business Partner role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clear, practical advice to managers on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation
  • Manage and support ER casework including disciplinary, grievance, and absence management processes
  • Coach and develop line managers to build confidence and capability in people management
  • Build strong working relationships across the business to foster trust and effective collaboration
  • Support reporting, analytics, and continuous improvement of People processes
  • Assist with the rollout and communication of new People practices, including training delivery

About You

  • Proven experience handling Employee Relations casework and a good understanding of employment law
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage a high-volume, fast-paced workload
  • Analytical with strong attention to detail
  • Proactive, collaborative, and confident influencing at all levels
  • Ideally CIPD qualified or working towards qualification
