Start Your Career With River – Where Ambition Meets Opportunity

Are you ready to kick-start your career in a role where you’ll gain valuable skills, earn while you learn, and work in a vibrant, supportive environment?

At River, we don’t just offer jobs – we offer careers with purpose, progression, and plenty of personality. We’re passionate about building a team where every individual feels respected, empowered, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

We know that your unique strengths, energy, and ideas matter, and we believe in giving you the space to shine. With us, you’ll join a culture of collaboration, growth, and creativity, where hard work is recognised, and success is celebrated.

The Role – Graduate Event Sales Assistant

We’re on the lookout for motivated, confident, and outgoing individuals to join our events team. As a Graduate Event Sales Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our pop-up event campaigns, representing our clients with enthusiasm and professionalism.

You’ll work closely with our experienced sales team, helping to set up and run events, engaging directly with the public, and building strong client relationships. This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone who loves meeting new people, enjoys a challenge, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

If you’re looking for more than just a 9–5 and want to combine personal growth with career development, you’ve found the right place.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the set-up and smooth running of event spaces
  • Engage and interact with potential customers in a friendly, approachable way
  • Share information about our clients’ mission, values, and initiatives
  • Represent our clients’ brands with pride and professionalism
  • Be proactive and resourceful when problem-solving on-site
  • Work as part of a collaborative, supportive team
  • Potential to grow into wider areas of the business, including operations, client liaison, social media, marketing, and HR.

What We’re Looking For

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A confident and approachable personality
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
  • Previous sales or customer service experience is helpful, but not essential – we provide full training

Why Choose River?

  • Base Pay + commission – your earning potential is in your hands
  • Full training from day one – no experience required
  • Ongoing professional development and mentorship
  • Clear progression pathways and opportunities for promotion
  • Travel opportunities and exciting holiday incentives
  • Hands-on experience in events and sales – no two days are the same
  • A supportive, inclusive environment where your ideas are heard and valued

At River, we believe in promoting from within. We give our team members the tools, training, and support they need to grow into senior roles. You’ll be part of the decision-making process, your input will matter, and your success will be celebrated.

This is more than just a job – it’s a chance to build a career you can be proud of.

Apply today and take your first step towards an exciting career with River.
