At BEAUTY BAY, our NPD team is responsible for creating innovative own-brand products that excite our global community of beauty enthusiasts.



As NPD Manager, you will lead the end-to-end development of new products across multiple categories, from initial concept through to launch. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you'll identify market opportunities, drive innovation, manage development timelines, and ensure products are delivered to the highest standards of quality, compliance, and commercial performance.


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced beauty product developer to play a key role in shaping the future of one of the brands in our portfolio.


Responsibilities


  • Lead the development of new products across multiple categories, from concept generation through to market launch
  • Own and manage the NPD pipeline, ensuring projects remain on track and aligned with business priorities
  • Develop and present robust business cases through the commercial stage-gate process, supported by market, consumer, and financial insight
  • Identify emerging trends, white space opportunities, and product innovations through ongoing market research and competitor analysis.
  • Present product concepts, trends, category opportunities, and strategic recommendations to key stakeholders across the business.
  • Define product success criteria and ensure a seamless handover into executional teams, including Brand, Design, Supply Chain, and Distribution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers, manufacturers, and laboratory partners to deliver best-in-class products.
  • Lead product benchmarking, formulation reviews, and sample evaluation processes.
  • Manage product compliance requirements, including claims substantiation, artwork review, and regulatory approvals for global markets.
  • Create and maintain key product documentation, including product fact sheets, technical information, and launch materials.
  • Coordinate product testing and consumer feedback programmes, analysing results and making recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Keep stakeholders informed throughout the development process, ensuring clear communication on project progress, risks, and key decisions.


About You


  • 3-4 years' experience in a beauty NPD / Product Development role.
  • Understanding of either colour cosmetics, skin care formulations, ingredients, manufacturing processes, and product technologies.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Solid knowledge of beauty industry regulations, including EU and US cosmetic compliance requirements and claims substantiation.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and deliver against tight deadlines.
  • Commercially minded with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident presenting ideas and influencing stakeholders.
  • Experience working with global suppliers, manufacturers, and third-party laboratories.
  • Collaborative and relationship-focused, with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving environment.
  • Passionate about beauty, consumer trends, and product innovation.
