Are you an experienced Purchase Ledger professional available at short notice? Do you have the confidence to support a busy team, challenge poor processes and keep transactions moving? Are you confident in using Sage 200 as a Finance system and able to educate colleagues to its use?
Robertson Bell is supporting a Manchester housing provider in the recruitment of an Interim Senior Accounts Payable Officer on an initial three-month contract. This role will provide hands-on support to a busy purchase ledger function following a period of change, helping reduce pressure on the team while supporting improvements to processes and ways of working.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing purchase ledger transactions, supplier queries, direct debits, bank postings and payment runs
- Supporting the existing Purchase Ledger team and sharing knowledge around better ways of working
- Helping maintain compliance with finance regulations, controls and approval processes
This is a hands-on interim assignment suited to someone who knows what good purchase ledger looks like and can bring confidence, pace and resilience to a busy environment. You will be joining an organisation that has recently moved to Sage 200, so previous Sage 200 experience is essential.
To be considered, please meet these criteria:
- Several years’ purchase ledger experience, ideally across more than one organisation
- Strong understanding of purchase ledger processes, supplier management and financial controls
- Confidence working in a busy team environment and pushing back appropriately when needed
- Experienced using Sage 200
- Ability to work from the Manchester office at least three days per week
