We're partnering with a highly respected, nationally recognised accountancy and advisory firm to appoint an Audit Assistant Manager into their growing North West audit team. Audit Assistant Manager Responsibilities- Managing a varied portfolio of audit assignments from planning through to completion
- Leading fieldwork and overseeing audit delivery to ensure quality and deadlines are met
- Building strong client relationships and acting as a key point of contact throughout the audit process
- Reviewing audit work completed by junior team members and providing coaching and development support
- Supporting Managers and Partners on larger and more complex assignments
- Assessing risk areas, reviewing systems and controls, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and audit standards
- Contributing to the continued development of junior talent within the team
- Supporting wider business development and relationship-building initiatives where appropriate
- ACA / ACCA qualified (or overseas equivalent)
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice audit environment
- Strong technical knowledge of audit and financial reporting standards including UK GAAP and IFRS
- Experience supervising, mentoring or reviewing the work of junior team members
- A confident communicator who enjoys building strong client relationships
- Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
