GMCA are seeking a proactive and organised Wellbeing and Occupational Health Advisor. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality support and play a key role in the delivery of effective wellbeing and occupational health services across GMCA and GMFRS.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Act as the first point of contact for advice, guidance, and coordination on a range of processes including health surveillance, management referrals, service provider liaison, and reporting.
• Provide advice and support on Wellbeing and Occupational Health policies, processes, and resources.
• Ensure the quality of delivery of contracted services by supporting managers to achieve effective health surveillance, management referrals, and access to services that ensure timely and appropriate support.
• Advise GMCA people managers and colleagues on effective Wellbeing and Occupational Health Management practices, including legislation, policies, procedures, and good practice.
• Build positive relationships with managers, colleagues, and external providers while helping to maintain accurate records, develop guidance, and support continuous improvement across the service.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work confidently with confidential information, systems, and data.
• Ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
• Experience in coordination and facilitation activities.
• Confidence in building relationships and providing support across various levels of an organisation.
