JOB TITLE: Duty Solicitor
PQE REQUIRED: 1+ PQE
LOCATION: Manchester
SALARY: Circa £50,000
THE ROLE:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Duty Solicitor to join a specialist criminal defence practice in Manchester. You will represent clients at police stations, Magistrates' Courts and Crown Courts, advising on a broad range of criminal matters from initial instruction through to conclusion. The role offers exposure to high-quality criminal defence work, the opportunity to undertake advocacy where appropriate and the chance to work alongside experienced criminal law specialists in a busy and supportive environment.
THE CANDIDATE:
Applications are sought from Duty Solicitors with a minimum of 1 year PQE and a current Duty Solicitor accreditation. You will possess experience across a broad range of criminal matters and be confident advising and representing clients at all stages of proceedings. Strong advocacy, communication and client care skills are essential, together with the ability to manage a varied caseload and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be commercially aware, proactive and committed to providing the highest standards of client service.
