Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Openshaw | September Start
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a progressive and inclusive primary school in Openshaw, currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a school committed to nurturing every child’s academic, social, and emotional development.
The Role
As an HLTA, you’ll take an active role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. From leading interventions to supporting pupils in small groups or one-to-one, you’ll help create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the delivery of engaging and creative lessons
• Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions
• Promote a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Assist with lesson planning and preparation of resources
• Track pupil progress and contribute to assessments
• Support pupils with additional needs, including emotional well-being
• Build strong relationships with staff, pupils, and parents
About You
Experienced HLTA or TA ready to take the next step
Passionate about supporting children’s learning and development
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Proactive, adaptable and committed to making a difference

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
