Role – Building & Fire Safety Administrator

Location – Manchester City Centre

Salary - £27,000

Type – Permanent

Hours – 9am-5.30pm // Monday-Friday

Reed are currently working with market-leading residential & commercial property services who are looking to recruit an administrator for their team in Manchester.

In this role you will provide support in answering building and fire safety enquiries, arising from monitoring the Fire Safety Enquiries Inbox and referrals from other team members. You will support colleagues across the division and wider organisation, ensuring safe environments for commercial and residential occupiers, visitors and employees.

Key responsibilities:

• Monitor and respond to enquiries on the Fire Safety inbox, ensuring prompt and efficient response.
• Undertake low level investigations in relation to fire incidents.
• Raising complex cases with senior management and discussing relevant actions
• Adopt a proactive approach to the identification of fire safety related risk, taking appropriate action on a case by case basis.
• Liaising with Property Managers to obtain information and instruct on procedures
• Work with and support colleagues from across the division with issues of fire and structural safety, travelling to site when required.
• Draft reports as required.
• Access data management systems to review, retrieve and update documents, as required.
• Keep informed of any changes in relevant legislation and guidance by undertaking regular CPD.
• Undertake occasional building inspections, identify and evaluate areas of fire safety related risk and escalate findings to the Fire Safety Manager.
• Provide assistance to the team where required in relation to registrations, requests for further information and submissions of Building Safety Cases under the Building Safety Act 2022.
• Any other duties that from time to time may be requested of you to satisfy the role.
