This role plays an important part in maintaining commercial governance, accurate financial reporting and effective contract management across our housing portfolio.

  • Assist with monthly financial forecasts, cost analysis, CVRs and budget monitoring.

  • Help price works using first principles and benchmarking.

  • Prepare and issue commercial and contractual notices, including payment documentation.

  • Maintain accurate, audit‑ready commercial and contract records.

  • Use and interpret schedules of rates, including NHF SoR.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of commercial and contract management processes.

  • Build positive working relationships with colleagues and contractors.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience supporting commercial or quantity surveying work in construction or social housing.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Confidence analysing commercial and financial data.

  • Experience producing or supporting financial reports or CVRs.

  • Clear, professional communication and a collaborative approach.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.

  • (Desirable) Knowledge of NHF SoR, social housing maintenance, or client/contractor‑side experience.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ relevant experience in a commercial or construction environment.

  • HNC/HND in Construction or Quantity Surveying
