A well-established firm within the Accountancy industry is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join its growing team in Manchester. Working closely with managers and partners, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality financial reporting and supporting junior team members while continuing to develop your own technical expertise.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients under UK GAAP
  • Producing consolidated financial statements and ensuring compliance with reporting standards
  • Supporting clients with management accounts and outsourced finance reporting
  • Building strong working relationships with clients and acting as a trusted day-to-day contact
  • Assisting with ad-hoc audit assignments and collaborating with wider teams where required
  • Reviewing work completed by junior staff and providing ongoing guidance and support
  • Contributing to an advisory-led approach, identifying opportunities to add value to clients
  • Supporting senior leadership with business development activities and client growth initiatives

What we're looking for

  • ACA or ACCA part-qualified or qualified with experience gained within practice
  • Strong background preparing statutory accounts within the Accountancy industry
  • Experience with management accounts, outsourcing, or client reporting services
  • Good working knowledge of UK GAAP and exposure to consolidated accounts
  • IFRS knowledge would be advantageous
  • Confident communicator with strong organisational and client relationship skills
  • Comfortable managing workloads independently while working collaboratively within a team
  • Experience using Excel and Word regularly, with Caseware knowledge beneficial
