IT Support Technician - South Manchester - #2076780

An established professional services organisation based in South Manchester is seeking an IT Support Technician to join its internal IT team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an IT support professional looking to further develop their technical skills within a structured and professional environment, while gaining exposure to a broad range of systems and technologies.

• Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support via telephone, email, and onsite assistance
• Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and general infrastructure issues
• Support and maintain desktop environments, printers, and telecommunications equipment
• Assist with system monitoring, backups, and antivirus maintenance
• Support onboarding processes for new employees, including IT setup and user guidance
• Liaise with third-party suppliers and internal departments to resolve technical issues
• Maintain accurate records of IT assets, including hardware, software, and mobile devices

• Previous experience within an IT support or helpdesk environment
• Good working knowledge of:
  • Windows Server
  • Active Directory
  • DHCP
  • Office 365
  • Windows desktop operating systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Professional communication and customer service abilities
• Well organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Any experience supporting business applications would be advantageous

The role offers ongoing training and the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across desktop support, infrastructure, networking, and wider IT projects.
