The Senior Finance Business Partner will play a vital role in providing strategic financial insight and advice to support decision-making within the not-for-profit sector. This role, based in Manchester, requires an experienced professional with a strong background in accounting and finance.

Description

  • Proven experience of working in a business facing or partnering finance role in a complex organisation.
  • Proven experience of preparing management accounts, budgets, forecasts and internal financial reports.
  • Experience of reviewing and analysing financial information and reporting on results.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and manage budgets effectively.
  • Monitor financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and board members.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Support the implementation of financial strategies and initiatives within the organisation.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to operational teams, offering guidance on financial matters.
  • Lead and mentor junior finance team members to enhance their professional development.

Profile

A successful Senior Finance Business Partner should have:

  • A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • The ability to influence decision-making through financial insights.
  • Experience in the housing/ not-for-profit sector or a similar environment.
  • A proactive and analytical approach to problem-solving.
