The opportunity
The role will lead a team to define and oversee implementation of High Potential/HIPO and Manager+ development solutions globally to support the development of future leaders, and to raise leadership standards and capabilities generally. The role should maintain strong connections with business and Talent leaders to ensure understanding of the skills and capabilities required by HIPOs and Manager + population and ensure this is reflected in Global level development frameworks and/or programs. This role should monitor external trends and best practices as well as internal performance and provide thought leadership across Talent globally to drive continuous improvement.
Your Key Responsibilities
The compensation ranges below are provided in order to comply with United States pay transparency laws. Other geographies will follow their local salary guidelines, which may not be a direct conversion of published US salary ranges.
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $123, 600 to $238,000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $148,400 to $270,500. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Purpose of the Job:
- Define and oversee implementation of the new Global Leadership model, monitor its impact/value and drive continuous improvement
- Design and oversee implementation of our Global HIPO development program called “Elevate”. Monitor its impact/value and drive continuous improvement
- Responsible for defining and driving implementation of HIPO and Manager+ talent development strategies and solutions globally at EY, define the right expectations, mindset, and development experiences to build required leadership behaviours
- Develop a comprehensive development framework and/or method for assessing leadership capabilities at various leadership levels as required
- Ensure HIPO and Manager+ solutions are in place to build the required capability. Design and implement a HIPO development framework that includes leadership training, mentoring and coaching.
- Contribute to the Global Leadership Development strategy for EY, working with L&D leaders, and monitor performance of HIPO/Future leader solutions and capabilities to demonstrate value to both Talent leaders and the business As required, work with Global Talent Delivery teams to ensure global processes and technology platforms are effective to enable delivery of HIPO and Talent Development agenda
- Providing thought leadership on best practice in HIPO and Talent Development. Review external and internal organization data to understand best practices to help build a robust talent pipeline
- Provide best practice and insights to help Super Regions implement HIPO and Talent development initiatives, but recognise Regions may take ownership for implementation of programs and/or development solutions
- Collaborate with Super Region Talent teams via Communities of Practice / Networks to share insights, best practices and/or to understand requirements for Global solutions.
- Where required, develop proposals for change to enhance HIPO and Manager+ development. Ensure that appropriate consultation is done with Super Regions and SL stakeholders, and ensure appropriate business case materials are prepared to secure investment through the Global Talent governance process
- Supervision Responsibilities:
- Member of the Global L&D team, oversee and manage the work of HIPO & Talent Development Consultants and Analysts to ensure all function work is completed effectively
- Responsible for defining and driving continuous improvement of HIPO and Manager+ Talent Development solutions and programs with a view of external best practices and internal stakeholder requirements.
- Where opportunities for change to global solutions are identified, work with Talent colleagues to complete analysis and propose recommendations for change aligned to internal Global Talent governance process
- Foster and maintain effective relationships with other Global Talent Function Leaders, Region Talent Leaders/teams and third parties to drive effective service delivery, consistency in ways of working
- Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- Strong business acumen, understanding of EY’s ‘All In’ business strategy and the Talent implications
- Knowledge of the way EY Talent operates, the Talent operating model and organization structure
- Deep knowledge of the L&D function service delivery model and ways of working, including: function processes, technology / systems and the organization structure and roles, especially for Skills & Career solutions
- Excellent analysis and problem solving skills to identify issues and recommend change
- Strong organizational skills, ability to set priorities and allocate work within effective time frames
- Proactive and pragmatic style, agile mindset and approach to deliver global operations and enablement services under cost and time pressures
- Strong influencing and communication skills. Maturity in approach to interact with: Global and Super Region Talent leaders
- Ability to use Global Technology as well as other relevant HR systems and knowledge tools
- Other Requirements:
- Due to global nature of the role; travel and willingness to work alternative hours will be required
- Job Requirements:
- Education:
- Educated to degree level in a related discipline
- Higher professional or a Masters qualification in a related discipline is preferred, not required
- Experience:
- Demonstrable experience in a closely related Talent or Consulting role considering skills strategy, solutions and performance
- Demonstrable experience of operating at a senior level, building and maintaining relationships with senior business and Talent leaders at Global and Region levels
- Demonstrable experience of having managed a team to implement quality work at pace and of resolving people issues that may arise
- Demonstrable experience of assessing and scoping potential project/change initiatives and development of associated business cases
- Demonstrable experience of thinking and acting strategically and commercially in pursuit of the wider business objectives
- Demonstrable experience of working in fast-paced, demanding environment to deliver required results
- Certification Requirements:
- Higher professional or masters qualification in a related discipline are preferred, not required
- Active membership to related professional bodies or industry groups is preferred, not required
