* Attend site meetings to ensure all abnormal costs are captured, any value engineering opportunities are identified and final accounts are promptly reconciled
* Use agreed schedules of rates, direct supply chain costs and quotes to prepare cost plans, challenging and agreeing costs where necessary
* Provide accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion in line with budget, implementing cost control measures as necessary
* Collaborate with contractors and the Professional Team to ensure that projects meet design and format manuals, technical specifications, blueprints and guidelines
* Assist with contract administration and dispute settlement, providing guidance on the interpretation of contracts and contractual clauses

This role will suit people who have

* Achieved a relevant quantity surveying qualification, or you have equivalent experience
* Experience of working with both clients and contractors
* Previous construction or retail experience
* Experience of working under JCT (Joint Contracts Tribunal) contracts
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with others at all levels of the business

* An annual bonus (based on personal and business performance)
* 28 days holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays
* A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
* Private healthcare
* Access to a subsidised onsite gym (at our Manchester HQ)
* Coaching and training to support your career development
* Wagestream app - giving you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn
