Your Role

As a Project Coordinator you will play a key role in our delivery and will have the ideal opportunity to get involved with a wide variety of different tasks and activities supporting both the day-to-day operation of the business but also gain practical experience of working in a projects and programme environment.

Youll provide an administrative support function to our talented Project Management teams; this will involve assisting with financial reporting, the procurement of goods and services, organising meetings and preparing and circulating information across the organisation as well as many external TfGM stakeholders.

You will have good attention to details and be able to create, maintain, and collate project information which can be used in processes such as project submissions for funding approval, monthly project reporting reviews (PRR), and the control of all supporting project delivery related information.

This is hybrid role where you will be expected to work in the office 2 days per week.

Who are we?

Welcome to Projects Group; TfGMs main delivery arm for projects - We are responsible for ensuring the organisation has firm foundations to successfully develop and deliver a large, complex and technically diverse portfolio of capital and revenue projects and programmes across Greater Manchester - on time, within budget and with the customer at the heart of what we do.

Our extensive portfolio of projects and programmes covers a significant number of areas within the different modes of transport infrastructure throughout Greater Manchester including Bus infrastructure, Metrolink, Rail, Electrification, Interchanges, Zero Emissions, Clean Air, Active Travel and Business Change.

Some recent notable projects include Stockport Interchange, Leigh to Ellenbrook Guided Busway, Metrolink Trafford Park Line and were sure youve seen the brand-new yellow busses as part of our Bus Franchising programme - Just to name a few!

What Youll Bring

Youll have good organisational and administrative skills with the ability to effectively manage your own time; adapting and prioritising your workload and tasks accordingly to ensure the needs of the service and deadlines are met.

You will work with a range of different stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation so excellent communication and engagement skills are essential. You will be able to adapt your communication to meet the needs of a variety of different stakeholder audiences.

Youll have a good understanding and experience of working with different IT packages such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint. You will have a good level of literacy and numeracy skills and ideally some experience of working with different types of data and information, some of which may be commercially sensitive and confidential.

You will be able to work collaboratively with others to produce and collate a range of documents including monthly performance reports, written reports and/or presentations.

Over the next few months, we anticipate several exciting Project Coordinator opportunities coming up which will sit within our well-established Programme Management Office (PMO), this is the engine room of Projects Group and plays a pivotal role in ensuring and maintaining successful project and programme delivery. So, we are currently recruiting to a talent pool of successful candidates for roles that we expect will be coming up!

This role has a salary of £28,069 - £29,881 per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition, you will be entitled to several other amazing benefits.
