Your Role

As a Commercial Lead , youll lead on all commercial matters related to the delivery of TfGMs capital programme. Youll work across a diverse portfolio of projects, including transport interchanges, rail stations, highways, and active travel schemes.

Youll

  • Manage commercial delivery from inception to completion
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders
  • Lead a team of internal and external commercial professionals
  • Oversee cost control, risk management, and commercial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and contract frameworks (e.g. NEC)

Who are we?

Transport for Greater Manchester has many priorities across projects delivery. As well as our more traditional transport construction projects and programmes, such as Metrolink, transport interchanges, rail stations, highways and bus priority, we are now delivering a range of emerging priorities from easing congestion, addressing air quality and encouraging more people to cycle and walk. In this role you will be responsible for managing a team of both internal and external resources, controlling and reporting all costs and liabilities associated with various modal capital programmes as well as supporting a number of other non-infrastructure related capital and revenue funded projects across TfGMs wide-ranging portfolio.

  • Knowledgeable about construction contracts (especially NEC) and service-based agreements

  • A salary of £70,906 - £79,805 per annum depending on skills and experience
  • 28 days holiday per annum (plus bank holidays)
