dunnhumby is currently seeking a Lead Engineer for a pivotal Product-led role. This position will play a crucial part in shaping projects for our globally recognized Pricing and Promotions product. Candidates will have the unique opportunity to work on a cutting-edge Data and Insight Platform that serves retailers worldwide.

In this role, you will act as the primary technical expert within the team, offering guidance on design, implementation, and industry best practices. You will develop and maintain deep expertise in the team's domain, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor for both team members and stakeholders.

What We Expect From You

  • Provide technical leadership and influence, demonstrating to our engineers what excellence looks like in terms of agile processes, code reviews, and best practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including key stakeholders such as Engineering Managers, Architects, Principal Engineers, and other technical leaders, to ensure that technical decisions align with strategic goals.
  • Exhibit a strong ability to mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering their professional development.
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end technical delivery of projects or features, ensuring they meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Develop and deploy complex applications, components, software, platforms, or services that are utilized at scale, contributing significant performance or business value.
  • Emphasize a growth mindset and collaborative efforts within the team.
  • Possess technical capabilities and knowledge across DevOps, Microservices Architecture, and Data Engineering.
