Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Senior Claims Adjuster in our Claims Department for our Property business.

Our Property Claims team services a diverse range of UK and international business. We work through a network of brokers and directly with clients to tailor solutions to the needs of our customer base. Location: This position will be based out of our Manchester office. The candidate will be required to report into and travel as and when required to Head Office in London. Our Business, Your Impact, Our Opportunity

What you’ll be doing:

• Taking responsibility for a caseload of large and/or complex lead claims.
• Reviewing and dealing with complex, international coverage matters.
• Maintaining operational and technical oversight of key outsource arrangements.
• Ensuring accuracy of financial recording and reporting under referral to management.
• Acting as a key contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Attending internal claim meetings, market meetings and seminars and representing the company as and when required.
• Managing relationships with service providers, including TPAs, outsource providers and panel lawyers and adjusters.

• A strong work ethic, high standards for performance and accountability for your output.
• Excellent multi-jurisdictional technical claims handling experience (on both primary and excess layers).
• Enthusiasm for developing and training team members and supporting their career progression.
• Honest and ethical conduct at all times.
