Job Specification: Account Manager Location: Greater Manchester Role Overview As an Account Manager at Würth UK Ltd in Greater Manchester, you will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of B2B customers across the region. Your focus will be on building strong client relationships, identifying and securing new business opportunities, and consistently achieving sales targets. You will represent Würth’s extensive range of industrial, fastening, and assembly products, providing expert service and solutions to customers. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing B2B accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Identify, target, and win new business opportunities within the Greater Manchester territory.
  • Develop in-depth product knowledge and provide expert advice and support to customers.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets (revenue and margin) and agreed KPIs.
  • Conduct regular client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations, negotiate pricing, and close sales.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity using CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (technical, customer service, logistics) to ensure seamless customer experience.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Attend industry events and exhibitions as required. Person Specification
  • Proven experience in B2B account management or field sales, ideally within industrial, manufacturing, or distribution sectors.
  • Demonstrable track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Commercially astute with the ability to identify and capitalise on opportunities.
  • Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage own territory and diary effectively.
  • Proficient in using CRM and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Knowledge of fastening, assembly, or related products is advantageous but not essential. Benefits
