About The Role
We are seeking two enthusiastic and motivated Full-stack Developers to join our client's development and digital marketing team on a fixed-term basis for twelve months. These positions are home-based, allowing for nationwide UK coverage, with occasional travel required for team meetings or work-related events. The successful candidates will play a pivotal role in transforming and future-proofing the organization’s digital presence by enhancing their websites and microsites. Reporting to the Senior Digital Developer, you will be instrumental in developing accessible, high-performing, and responsive web solutions that align with the organization’s branding and technical standards. - Solid experience with the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
- Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, and pre-processed CSS (preferably SASS)
- Experience working within a mobile-first development environment
- Hands-on knowledge of Drupal 8-10 core and contributed modules
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git
- Experience working in an agile environment using Jira or similar project management tools
- Comfort working in a command-line environment and familiarity with Drush
- Knowledge of Composer for package and version management
- Experience with AWS services, especially EC2, S3, and Cloud9
- Ability to theme with Twig templates
- An open-minded approach to adopting new technologies and development practices
Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be responsible for a range of technical and collaborative tasks, including:
- Developing accessible, responsive websites and microsites using the LAMP stack, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, ensuring compliance with branding and accessibility standards
- Contributing to the enhancement of the Drupal platform, including core and contributed modules, to improve functionality and user experience
- Working within an agile framework, managing tasks through Jira, and collaborating effectively with internal clients and team members
- Switching seamlessly between front-end and back-end development tasks based on project needs
- Providing innovative solutions to technical challenges and recommending improvements to existing development processes
- Writing clean, high-quality code with version control best practices (Git)
- Ensuring website performance, security, and accessibility are maintained at the highest standards
- Utilizing AWS services such as EC2, S3, and Cloud9 for deployment and development environments
- Theming websites using Twig templates and integrating with other systems as needed
