Your Role
We are recruiting for a high performing individual with a proven ability in policy and/or strategy development, and in thought leadership. You will have a proven ability in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external colleagues, a high level of written and oral communication and presentation skills and ability to work in a pressured environment and manage competing priorities.
We are looking for someone who has significant experience of strategy and policy development around central and/or local government and the devolution and/or local growth agendas, working with senior political leaders and/or senior leadership teams and in a complex partnership environment, for example involving stakeholders from across the private, public and third sectors.

Hybrid working

- This a role within the the Strategy Team, sitting at the heart of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA). As a member of the Strategy Team, the role holder will support the development of GMCAs strategic direction and policy priorities, provide advice and support to the Mayor and leadership of the CA, and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders.
- The role holder will have particular responsibility for devolution policy, including ongoing work to implement Greater Manchesters Trailblazer Devolution Deal with Government, developing a strong collective evidence base to develop GM's devolution proposals and working with the Government to demonstrate how devolution can help drive growth.
