Here at GXO, were currently looking for a Site Manager to lead our American Golf warehouse operation in Worsley, Manchester. Youll lead an established, settled and experienced team and be responsible for ultimately ensuring the operational and commercial success of the operation.
This is a full time, permanent role. Even though you'llbe contracted to Monday - Friday, this is a 24/7 operation, thereforeyoull need to offer a level of flexibility in terms of working hours no twoweeks are the same,this is logistics after all!
Pay, Benefits And More
Youll be paid a salary of up to £60,000 per annum, depending upon experience. Youll also receive 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work-life balance. Your benefits package includes a company car or car allowance of £505 per calendar month, a company sponsored pension scheme, private medical and dental insurance, a 24/7 online GP service, life assurance and a fully comprehensive employee assistance programme. What Youll Do On a Typical Day
- Be responsible for the overall operational and financial performance of the operation, leading from the front and getting under the skin of what keeps the site moving on a day-to-day basis
- Play a key part in driving communication and engagement with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels, both onsite and throughout the wider GXO network
- Demonstrate the ability to identify and drive opportunities for operational excellence and continuous improvement
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring the long-term success of the contract
- A proven track record effectively leading a logistics operation with strong experience of continuous improvement youll be the type that never wants to stand still and aims for excellence
- Fantastic leadership skills with a real focus on developing and engaging your people and driving succession from the bottom up
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both internally and with the customer
- A high level of resilience with the ability to lead a winning team to success
