As a Technical Consultant - Hybrid Platforms focused primarily on the VMware technology stack, youʼll be part of our successful Professional Services team, responsible for engaging in scoping of work, creating technical designs based on customer requirements, producing statement of works that align scope and design and the implementation of technologies for Softcatʼs customers. This role is ideal for a seasoned VMware professional seeking to leverage their skills in a challenging and rewarding environment. Youʼll need to demonstrate an excellent understanding of the VMware VMware Cloud Foundation Platform

Technical Roles And Responsibilities

• Engaging with customers at all levels to help formulate and deliver robust technical solutions, primarily—but not exclusively—focused on the VMware technology stack.
• Assisting with pre-sales, sales, and customer-focused conversations related to hybrid platform technologies.
• Understanding client and stakeholder requirements to assist with planning and delivering technical work packages as part of a project or programme.
• Taking responsibility for the design and implementation of core Hybrid Platform projects for a wide variety of small, medium, and enterprise customers—including (but not limited to) VMware stack technologies and other key vendor solutions.
• Ensuring that delivered technical solutions are functional, fit for purpose, and that appropriate handover and documentation is provided to customers.
• Playing an active role in the continued growth of the Professional Services business through engagement with internal sales teams.
• Participating in and maintaining an active technical community across the whole Hybrid Platform practice.
• Championing knowledge sharing and re-use of technical assets and deliverables within the practice or profession.
• Contributing to the identification of new technologies appropriate for deployment by the team.
  
  
  

We'd love you to have

• Excellent, proven, and recent experience in the delivery of technical solutions within small, medium, and enterprise-level organisations.
• Hands-on subject matter expert experience in designing, implementing, managing, and administering Hybrid Platform technologies, with proven success in creating detailed technical designs and performing successful customer implementations across the Hybrid Platform vendor portfolio.
• Hands-on subject matter expert experience working with the VMware Cloud Foundation Platform.
