The Business Development Executive, known internally as the Technical Sales Officer, manages inbound sales for new and existing customers. Although the technical aspects are taught in-house and require no prior experience, the role demands a strong desire to learn and meticulous attention to detail. It combines comprehensive product knowledge, in-depth sector understanding, awareness of industry regulations, and adept problem-solving skills.

What that means day to day

  • Gather business process information from clients
  • Collaborate with clients to determine the best-fit approach
  • Utilise internal systems and industry guidelines to establish audit durations
  • Manage a project pipeline
  • Prepare proposals

What you’ll need to be successful

Essentials:
  • Telephone-based sales experience
  • Demonstrable experience of building strong working relationships at all levels.
  • Confident in CRM systems for analysis and reporting
  • Ability to present in a clear and concise manner and in a professional capacity
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
Desirable:
  • Wide industry and B2B background
  • Knowledge of certification or TIC industry
  • Ability to complete tenders, Pre-Qualification Questionnaires and supplier proposals
