What will you be doing?


This role sits within the Great Britain Cycling Team (GBCT), the country’s most successful Olympic and Paralympic team in history. Now is an incredibly exciting year to join GBCT. Fresh off the back of winning 11 Olympic and 22 Paralympic medals at the most recent Games in Paris, as well as having recently celebrated 20 years of the GBCT pathway, we are a team with high ambitions to continue this legacy at LA 2028 and beyond.


The core mission of the Data and Insights team is to enable GBCT to use data and evidence to generate and answer better questions that will positively impact the performance of the team. You will do this through leading and deliver a high-impact data and insights strategy that supports a culture of data-informed decision making across the Great Britain Cycling Team (GBCT).


What we’re looking for:


Are you passionate about data and its power to drive performance (be that in business, sport, finance)? The Great Britain Cycling Team (GBCT) is looking for a dynamic and innovative Data and Insight Lead / Senior Data Scientist to join our team at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester.


We are seeking someone with a strong foundation in data science, the role holder will work across coaching, performance support, and operational functions to ensure data is captured, managed, and transformed into meaningful insights that drive performance gains, enhance training methods, and support data informed decision making throughout all functions of the world class programme
