Security Installation Engineer – Greater Manchester

The Role

We’re seeking an experienced Security Installation Engineer to join our growing team, covering the Greater Manchester area. You’ll be responsible for installing and commissioning high-end electronic security systems across commercial, industrial, and high-spec residential sites.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer with solid IP knowledge and a passion for working with cutting-edge security technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and commission CCTV, Intruder Alarms, Access Control, and Intercom Systems

• Work with IP-based systems, including configuration, networking, and integration

• Liaise with clients and project managers to ensure installations meet specification and quality standards

• Maintain documentation and complete handover processes

• Diagnose faults and carry out corrective action during commissioning

Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience as a Security Installation Engineer

• Strong knowledge of IP networking and IP CCTV systems (e.g., Avigilon, Hikvision, Axis)

• Experience working on high-end, integrated security systems

• Competent with access control platforms (e.g., Paxton, Lenel, Gallagher)

• Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the region

Desirable

• ECS/CSCS Card

• Manufacturer training or certifications

• Knowledge of network switches, VLANs, and PoE
