Job Title: Digital Marketing Executive

Location: Manchester

Department: Digital Marketing

Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role:

We are looking for a performance-focused Digital Marketing Executive with a strong background in running high-converting campaigns across platforms, particularly in lead generation, PPC, SEO, and email marketing. You will play a key role in growing our online presence, increasing student recruitment, and supporting broader marketing initiatives.

This is a hands-on, versatile role ideal for someone who is both analytically strong and creatively driven, with technical expertise in tools like HubSpot, Google Analytics, and paid media platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Paid Advertising & Lead Generation

  • Plan, execute, and optimise paid campaigns across Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn and other digital platforms with a focus on high CTR and lead generation.

  • Maintain and monitor paid media budgets, ensuring efficiency in CPL, CPA, and ROI metrics.

  • Set up tracking, monitor performance, and implement data-led optimisations regularly.

2. Email Marketing & Automation

  • Design and execute email marketing campaigns using HubSpot, including newsletters, drip campaigns, and lead nurturing flows.

  • Segment audiences, manage contact lists, set up automated workflows, and ensure high deliverability and engagement.

  • Report on email performance and optimise based on open rates, CTRs, and conversions.

3. HubSpot & CRM Integration

  • Act as the go-to person for HubSpot Marketing Hub operations.

  • Manage API integrations, landing pages, forms, CTAs, and contact lifecycle stages.

  • Troubleshoot any data syncing or technical issues related to CRM and marketing automation.

4. Analytics & Reporting

  • Use Google Analytics, HubSpot dashboards, and other platforms to monitor and report on campaign performance.

  • Translate data into actionable insights to guide strategy and improve KPIs.

  • Maintain accurate reporting on marketing funnel performance, lead attribution, and ROI.

5. SEO & Web Optimization

  • Execute both on-page and off-page SEO strategies to improve rankings and increase organic visibility.

  • Work with content creators and web developers to ensure SEO best practices are implemented site-wide.

6. Content, Events & Podcasts

  • Plan and execute content creation for social media, ensuring alignment with campaign goals.

  • Support event promotions (online and on-campus) through digital channels.

  • Coordinate podcast planning, promotion, and post-event marketing, including repurposing audio content into social snippets.

7. Team Collaboration & Flexibility

  • Be an enthusiastic team player with a can-do attitude—always ready to help across different marketing functions when needed.

  • Proactively support campaign launches, brainstorms, and creative initiatives with a positive and collaborative mindset.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2–3 years of proven experience in digital marketing, with strong examples of successful lead gen and email campaigns.

  • Expertise in HubSpot Marketing Hub is essential—especially email workflows, forms, and segmentation.

  • Hands-on experience running Google Ads, Meta Ads, and TikTok campaigns.

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills using Google Analytics, HubSpot reporting, and UTM tracking.

  • Good understanding of technical marketing, including API connections, tagging, and CRM integration troubleshooting.

  • Solid understanding of SEO practices and optimisation strategies.

  • Creative mindset for content creation, campaign ideation, and social media storytelling.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, keen eye for detail, and the ability to self-manage tasks.

Bonus Certifications (Preferred, Not Required):

  • Google Ads / Meta Blueprint certifications.

  • Experience with tools like Canva, and basic video editing.

  • Familiarity with education sector marketing or student recruitment campaigns.
