We’re looking for a bright and enthusiastic individual ready to take the next step in their finance career by joining our Manchester-based Finance team.


About the Role:


As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a key role within the Management Accounts team, managing the purchase and payables accounting cycle. You’ll be responsible for ensuring supplier costs are accurately recognised across the Group in line with our Group Financial Controls Policy (GFCP). This includes processing invoices through our approval systems, liaising with internal cost managers and external suppliers, and setting up supplier payments for all Group entities.


You’ll report directly to the Transactional Finance Manager and work closely with colleagues across all departments, building effective relationships internally and externally.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Process and post supplier invoices and credit notes accurately and on time.

  • Prepare and manage supplier payments, including weekly payment runs.

  • Respond to and resolve supplier queries and invoice discrepancies.

  • Set up and maintain supplier accounts in Oracle NetSuite, verifying bank details as required.

  • Reconcile supplier statements to the ledger, following up on outstanding items with suppliers.

  • Ensure Oracle NetSuite records are accurate and kept up to date.

  • Support the Transactional Finance Manager with interim and year-end audit queries.

  • Carry out general administrative tasks to support the finance function.


Qualifications



  • Proven experience in an Accounts Payable or similar finance role.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data processing.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.

  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).

  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite or other ERP systems is advantageous.
