The Gameplay Capture Artist will be responsible for the creative and technical work involved in preparing, directing, and capturing gameplay moments and concepts. This role involves establishing fresh visual tones for Star Citizen, in collaboration with our Marketing and Development teams, to showcase the game through various video content such as Patch Trailers, Inside Star Citizen videos, holiday promotional trailers, and web content.
The ideal candidate has a strong passion for storytelling and film development, with an exceptional creative eye, capable of taking ownership of a wide range of compelling video content. This position is part of the Global Video Production team, reporting to the gameplay lead and working alongside marketing creatives.

Responsibilities
- Create high-quality capture content from multiple game builds using Nvidia ShadowPlay and OBS Studio.
- Meet tight deadlines in a rapidly evolving environment.
- Select the best footage from capture sessions to tell a story or showcase features using cinematic techniques.
- Collaborate with other gameplay capture artists to organize and participate in multiplayer capture sessions.
- Work directly with developers to learn about new features, environments, ships, and assets.
- Present new game features, mechanics, and technologies through engaging videos.
Qualifications
- Fluent understanding of Star Citizen's gameplay and development history.
- Experience with game capture or live-action filming.
- Knowledge of advanced cinematic filming techniques (framing, shot types, camera movement, depth of field, lens choice, etc.).
- Ability to follow directions and learn new processes.
- Ability to work under rapid project turnaround and shifting priorities.
- Creative problem-solving skills and innovative ideas.
- Strong attention to detail and self-QC skills.
- Deep interest and passion for video games and cinema.
