Environmental Advisor
Location: Manchester (Hybrid)

The Environmental Advisor will play a key role in supporting a prestigious Government Agency in maintaining compliance with their ISO14001 Environmental Management System.
Job Description
Reporting to the Environmental Manager, the role will involve providing expert advice and guidance to both the client and facility managers, helping to drive best practices in environmental management across a varied estate.
The Environmental Advisor will lead internal site audits, ensuring high standards of compliance are maintained, while also having the autonomy to manage their own diary with a hybrid working model that supports a positive work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the internal audit programme remains compliant and on track
- Assist with action management and external certification audits
- Support incident investigations and process improvements
- Maintain ISO14001 EMS, reviewing documents and engaging with key decision-makers
- Identify and support continual improvement opportunities with the customer
- Attend meetings and network groups, supporting action management as needed
- Engage in relevant ISS team programmes alongside the customer
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Must be degree-qualified
- Experience in environmental compliance and regulations
- Ideally holds a Lead Auditor qualification (not essential)
- Understanding of ISO14001
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn
- Role involves significant working from home and travel, with some self-managed scheduling
