Legal Secretary – Construction

Manchester | Hybrid Working | Full-Time

Our client, a highly regarded national law firm with a top-tier Construction & Engineering practice, is seeking a professional and proactive Legal Secretary to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a respected team of fee earners and partners working across a diverse portfolio of contentious and non-contentious construction matters.

The Opportunity

Working closely with legal professionals across several UK offices, this role offers a blend of office presence and agile home working. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering seamless administrative and secretarial support to the wider team, ensuring an organised, efficient and client-focused service.

About the Team

This award-winning Construction & Engineering team is involved in high-profile projects both nationally and internationally. Their clients range from major developers and housebuilders to public sector bodies, educational institutions, sports organisations, and companies in the automotive and energy sectors. The team advises on everything from large-scale developments to process engineering and renewable energy projects.

The team includes experts across both contentious and transactional matters, with several partners recognised for their expertise by the Legal 500.

What We’re Looking For

We’re keen to speak with experienced Legal Secretaries who thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in being highly organised, responsive, and able to multitask effectively.

Key Skills & Experience:

Proven experience within a legal secretarial role, ideally within construction or a commercial practice area.

Strong typing and document production skills with excellent attention to detail.

Confident communicator, both written and verbal, with a professional manner.

Comfortable managing complex diaries, meeting arrangements, and client correspondence.

Highly organised with excellent time management and the ability to prioritise competing demands.

Strong IT capabilities, particularly with Microsoft Word and case management systems.

A discreet and trustworthy professional who maintains confidentiality at all times.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a dedicated Legal Secretary to join a forward-thinking firm that values collaboration, flexibility, and professional growth.

If you're ready for your next challenge and would like to support a busy and highly respected legal team, we’d love to hear from you.
