The RPS permitting team is a leading consultancy in this field and is actively supporting projects that will deliver the UKs Net Zero commitment. What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing applications for environmental permits, licenses and approvals from regulatory agencies – including new applications and variations to and surrender of existing permits.
- Developing environmental management system documents and supporting management plans required by our Clients environmental permits
- Overseeing permit monitoring and reporting to the UK Regulators
- Discharging pre-operational conditions and permit improvement condition items
- Responding to and dealing with technical queries on projects as required and in a professional and timely manner
- Preparing proposals with review from senior staff
- Ensuring quality control of the output of projects in accordance with the approved QA system
- Supporting and being the potential lead role for aspects of work delivery reporting to more senior staff for approvals
- Supporting more senior staff in the delivery of the permit and compliance team marketing strategy and business development.
- Previous experience in preparing permit applications
- A good understanding of UK regulators permitting guidance and requirements
- Strong project management skills
- Ability and confidence to build and maintain working relationships with clients, external bodies and internal teams.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Valid UK driving licence.
