We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organised Sourcing Assistant to support the sourcing and procurement of high-quality, trend-led products for our fast-growing online fashion brand. This role is crucial in building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring cost-effective procurement, and managing product development timelines. You will work closely with the buying, merchandising, and design teams to ensure a seamless sourcing process that aligns with our brand vision.


Key Responsibilities


Supplier & Vendor Coordination



  • Support the sourcing team in identifying, evaluating, and onboarding new suppliers and manufacturers.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and efficiency.

  • Assist in negotiating pricing, lead times, and payment terms with suppliers to meet business objectives.


Product Development & Sampling



  • Assist in the development of new products by liaising with suppliers and internal teams.

  • Manage sample requests, track sample progress, and ensure timely delivery for review.

  • Coordinate feedback between internal teams and suppliers to refine product specifications.


Order Management & Logistics



  • Support the placement and tracking of purchase orders, ensuring timely production and delivery.

  • Monitor stock levels and supplier performance to prevent delays and ensure smooth operations.

  • Work closely with logistics partners to ensure accurate and cost-effective shipping.


Quality Control & Compliance



  • Assist in conducting quality checks on samples and bulk production to meet brand standards.

  • Ensure all sourced products comply with legal, ethical, and sustainability guidelines.

  • Maintain accurate records of compliance certifications and supplier audits.


Market & Trend Research



  • Keep up to date with fashion trends, fabric innovations, and sourcing best practices.

  • Research new sourcing opportunities and materials to enhance product offerings.

  • Support the team in preparing reports and analysis on supplier performance and cost efficiencies.


Qualifications & Skills



  • 1-2 years of experience in a sourcing, production, or buying role within the fashion industry.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of garment production, fabrics, and supply chain processes is desirable.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with PLM systems is a plus.

  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a passion for fashion and product development.
