Role Overview
We are looking for an ambitious Trainee Accountant to join our team. This role is designed for individuals who are eager to build a career in accountancy, gaining experience in financial reporting, tax compliance, and advisory services. You will be working closely with qualified professionals, gaining exposure to real-world financial scenarios while studying towards a professional qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in the preparation of management accounts and financial statements
- Supporting the completion of tax returns, VAT submissions, and payroll processes
- Conducting reconciliations and ensuring financial records are accurate
- Engaging with clients to gather financial information and address queries
- Assisting in audit assignments, ensuring compliance with industry regulations
- Analysing financial data to provide insights for business decision-making
- Staying up to date with accounting standards and industry developments
Who We Are Looking For
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field (or relevant experience)
- An analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a willingness to learn financial software
- Commitment to obtaining a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
