We're looking for an Operations Manager to join our start up client in the North West. You will be coming in to support the Founder as well as have full ownership of all operations responsibilities.


Key Skills and Responsibilities


HMRC, Government Gateway, & Equity Scheme Management:



  • Managing access to the HMRC government gateway and handling related tasks.

  • Registering and managing the EMI (Enterprise Management Incentives) scheme.


Financial Administration:



  • Managing the monthly payroll.

  • Corresponding with accountants.

  • Engaging in discussions with the Founder regarding cash flow forecasts and analysis of business performance.


Investor & Board Relations:



  • Acting as the primary point of contact for investors, responding to their queries and requests.

  • Preparing board-related materials such as updates and packs, and responding to board communications.

  • Creating quarterly investor reports with key financial and user metrics.


Human Resources & Legal Compliance:



  • Managing employee pensions and ensuring compliance with UK and HMRC laws and regulations.

  • Implementing HR policies and ensuring proper staff administrative procedures (collecting details, registration).

  • Assisting with hiring processes, including duties related to applications, interviews, and defining job specifications.


Employee Onboarding & Support (Non-Technical):



  • Managing the non-technical aspects of staff onboarding (setting up accounts on various platforms).

  • Creating employment contracts.

  • Handling employee requests related to time off (holidays, leave), general non-technical queries and issues, and requests for non-technical equipment.
