Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - #1686773

We have a mechanical engineer position which you may be interested in.

Location: Manchester (Static)

Pay: £21 - 24 Via Umbrella/CIS

Role Overview: We are seeking a Mechanical Shift Technician with a mechanical background and a knack for technology.

This role is ideal for former boiler operators or similar professionals who are comfortable using graphic systems to monitor building management systems, identify issues, and perform physical inspections of plant rooms.

Key Responsibilities:

* Monitor the building's mechanical and electrical systems.

* Identify and report issues such as alarms, performance drops, or equipment malfunctions.

* Regularly inspect plant rooms (boilers, HVAC systems, etc.) to ensure all equipment is operating correctly.

* Identify potential issues during physical checks that may not be apparent through the BMS.

* Maintain accurate records of system performance, issues, and actions taken.

* Report findings to maintenance and engineering teams for resolution. Experience Required:

* Proven experience using Building Management Systems (BMS).

* Previous work experience on a commercial site,

* NVQ Level 2 in a building trade or equivalent qualification.

* Mechanical or engineering background, ideally as a former boiler operator or similar.

* Comfortable with technology and able to use BMS software.
