Join us as a Digital Product Owner

  • In this role, you’ll support the digital delivery of our organisation through digital experiences, propositions, capabilities and releases
  • Your daily responsibilities will see you working collaboratively to provide great, end-to-end customer experiences as you deliver a prioritised backlog to bring propositions to pilot
  • Make a far-reaching impact through your work and enhance your career profile as you deliver digital experiences that meet customer needs at key moments to resolve pain points
  • We're offering this role for a period of 12 months

What you’ll do

Day-to-day, you’ll identify opportunities and provide insights that impact on digital experiences.

We’ll look to you to lead the development and improvement of one or more digital feature sets by working with designers, delivery teams and engineers to deliver customer outcomes. As well as this, you’ll make sure that the backlog is maintained and that teams collaborate effectively.

In addition, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Creating and driving the delivery of the experience backlog while effectively prioritising work to maintain completion of sprint goals and tasks
  • Working collaboratively with stakeholders and cross-functional delivery teams and supporting the identification of risks and issues
  • Managing the delivery of change from vision and inception through to post-live validation and monitoring, making sure customer experiences and engagement impacts are considered
  • Facilitating the planning, timing, and execution of delivery roadmaps and backlog through aligning the vision, planning and interdependencies of many teams

The skills you’ll need

To be successful in this role, you’ll have the ability to define and implement strategic direction for future customer experiences and to provide expertise on digital channels, including on mobile and online and through digital propositions.

Furthermore, you’ll have experience of using design methodology to execute strategic propositions and the ability to understand the strategic vision, with a focus on business outcomes. We’ll look to you to demonstrate innovative thinking through support and the delivery of customer outcomes.

You’ll also need:

  • The ability to quickly gain an understanding of emerging digital capabilities and the ability to communicate and engage with colleagues at all levels
  • An understanding of how to drive innovative ideas through Agile ways of working and harnessing digital and technological advances that benefit our customers
  • Experience of adapting to quickly changing environments, translating data into action and demonstrating an experimental mindset
  • To be purpose-driven, and ready to drive positive change for the organisation while taking a holistic view of processes to improve and encourage others to do the same
  • Experience of building and maintaining a positive working relationship with stakeholders across the business, and working at pace while maintaining quality of delivery
