Job Title: Data Workstream Lead/Manager
Total Experience Required: 10+ years in Information Technology/Computers/Software
Relevant Experience Required: 5-7 years of experience in data management and data migration, especially within large, multinational organizations.

- Willing to relocate to Manchester, UK from anywhere within Europe or UK
Job Type: Contract
Contract Duration: Minimum 6 months, extendable up to 18 months based on project needs

We are hiring a Data Workstream Lead to drive data strategy and execution as part of a high-impact IT transformation. This contract role sits at the heart of the programme, responsible for aligning cross-functional teams, leading governance efforts, and ensuring successful data migration and quality management across systems.
You will lead the full data lifecycle, from planning and governance to migration, reporting, and compliance. Working closely with technical teams and business stakeholders, you’ll own the integrated data plan, manage risk, and champion data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of a comprehensive programme-wide data strategy
- Oversee data migration, governance, and quality assurance activities
- Align workstream timelines and dependencies across functions
- Report on progress, issues, and milestones to programme leadership
- Ensure compliance with PMO processes and support change adoption

- Proven experience managing complex data programmes within IT transformations
- Strong understanding of data governance and data quality frameworks
- Advanced stakeholder and cross-functional team management
- Proficient in data strategy, risk mitigation, and reporting at scale
- Deep technical knowledge of system integrations and data lifecycle
Top 5 Optional Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Azure and Power BI
- Working knowledge of SQL and data warehousing
- Familiarity with Python and ETL tooling
- Energy sector or regulated industry background
- Experience with Salesforce or MS Dynamics
