Frontend Developer (WordPress, Shopify, UI/UX)

Central Manchester (Onsite)

£40,000pa

I'm recruiting on behalf of an ambitious retail brand based in Central Manchester who are looking for a Frontend Developer to take ownership of their Shopify and WordPress sites.

You'll be joining a small, friendly team with a start-up feel, working directly alongside the founders and supported by an offshore development team.

What you'll be doing:

• Developing and improving their Shopify and WordPress websites


• Owning the look, feel, and functionality across both platforms


• Building new features, refining the customer journey, and improving the user experience (UI/UX)


• Working closely with the founders to turn ideas into live updates and new launches


• Collaborating with offshore developers where needed

What they're looking for:

• Strong hands-on experience with Shopify (Liquid, theme customisation)


• Strong hands-on experience with WordPress (theme building, customisation, plugins)


• A good eye for design and user journeys (UI/UX)


• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, start-up style environment


• Someone proactive who takes ownership of projects


• Good communication skills and a team-first attitude

Nice to have:

• Experience with Figma or other design tools


• Knowledge of Shopify apps, SEO basics, and performance improvements


• Creative skills in branding or graphics would be a bonus

What’s on offer:

• Salary up to £40,000 depending on experience
