Join Our Team as an Attendance Officer
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Attendance Officer to join our pastoral team at a co-educational secondary academy in Failsworth, Greater Manchester. This role is pivotal in monitoring and improving student attendance, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to succeed
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor Attendance: Track and record student attendance and punctuality using the school's database
Identify Concerns: Highlight areas of concern and take appropriate action to address issues
Engage with Families: Communicate with parents and guardians to discuss attendance matters and implement strategies for improvement
Support Pastoral Team: Work closely with the pastoral team to support students facing attendance challenges
Maintain Records: Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of attendance and related communications.Ideal Candidate:
Experience: Previous experience in a similar role or within an educational setting is desirable
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and families
Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
