SC4 Recruitment Limited

Head of Global Procurement – Essex - Hybrid

Ready to shape the future of procurement on a global scale?

We're looking for a visionary procurement leader to head our client's global procurement and supply chain function — someone who can bring strategy, structure, and speed to an evolving, international landscape. You'll sit at the top table, reporting to the CFO and working with cross-functional teams to elevate procurement from a service function to a key business driver. This is your chance to lead the procurement transformation for a forward-thinking, multinational organisation operating at the cutting edge of infrastructure, innovation, and global delivery.

The Role:

  • Designing and executing a global procurement strategy aligned with a 5-year business vision.

  • Championing the standardisation and governance of procurement policies across international operations.

  • Delivering transformational change, driving cost savings, and ensuring best-in-class supplier performance.

  • Building and mentoring a high-performing global team, fostering a "one team" mindset.

  • Leading commercial negotiations and long-term contracts that balance risk and reward.

  • Enhancing the efficiency and transparency of procurement using data, KPIs, and performance scorecards.

  • Being a key player on the leadership team, influencing strategic decisions and driving cross-functional excellence.

Experience Needed:

  • MCIPS qualified (or equivalent), with significant experience in senior procurement leadership roles.

  • A global mindset with a proven track record of leading procurement across multiple regions and navigating complex supply chain challenges.

  • Deep commercial acumen and strong negotiation experience with high-value, international contracts.

  • Demonstrable experience and a passion for transformation — from implementing systems to leading culture shifts.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills and influence at all levels.

  • Experience in oil and gas, offshore, or engineering environments.

Why Join?

This is more than a role — it's an opportunity to create lasting impact. You'll catalyse change in a business that values innovation, collaboration, and high performance. With visibility at the executive level and the autonomy to lead global transformation, this role offers a rare platform for ambitious procurement leaders.

Apply now and become the architect of a world-class procurement function.
