Incredible opportunity to join a prestigious top 100 Law firm as a qualified Clinical Negligence Solicitor / Associate / Senior Associate.

Hybrid Working - 1 day per week in the office in either Manchester or Liverpool.

You will play a crucial role in the continued success of the firms Clinical Negligence department, managing claims from inception to completion. You will also have the opportunity to assist senior solicitors on claims with an estimated valuation £500,000 - £multi million.

Within this collaberative enviornment, you will be able to mentor and coach more junior members of the team, and help them develop their skills and knowledge.

The successful candidate will join a team of high achieving clinical negligence experts, covering all aspects of litigation, including pre- and post-litigation, in a supportive environment.

Main Responsibilities for the role:

  • To discuss case tactics and planning with the Team Leader/Head of Department and members of the team
  • Accountable for running an individual caseload
  • Providing support, guidance and assistance to the team on more complex claims
  • Drafting of legal documentation including LOC, letters of instruction
  • Negotiating settlement and the issuing and service of proceedings should it be required
  • Contribute to proactive and commercial case management and progression across the team
  • Supporting the Team Leader/Head of Department in ensuring the delivery of the team’s financial and performance KPIs
  • Effective and thorough time recording

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Recent experience of handling or supporting on a caseload
  • NQ- 8+ years PQE or equivalent experience working in Clinical Negligence claims
  • Excellent communication with both colleagues and clients
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • The desire to progress within a highly prestigious law firm
  • Ability to work well with junior team members, providing coaching and mentoring
